- Clients’ and employers’ business interests always take top priority. I write as a user advocate to please the reader.
- My technical expertise extends to many fields.
- I put in the extensive work and research to produce excellent work—testing hardware, using software, clarifying procedural steps, and adding tips.
- Unparalleled attention to accuracy and detail.
- A proofreader extraordinaire who notices everything: grammar, spelling, form, readability, usability, technical correctness, and semantics.
- Internationalization and localization-awareness for a modern world-wide audience.
- Powerful images: screen captures, from-scratch diagrams, new and edited photos, and videos.
- Writing skill and technical expertise go hand in hand. Some writers have technical expertise, but have difficulty communicating to a non-expert audience. My writing can address targeted audiences or all readers: novices, experts, and everyone in between, all in the same document.
- Pre-emptively uncovers opportunities for mistakes. I write to avoid confusion and user errors that accompany complex technologies and offer ways to back out from procedural errors.
- I adhere to corporate formatting and usage standards, or create and document additional standards if they are insufficiently defined. Of course, that involves management buy-in.
- US citizen.
